Combinations of castor/camber affect tire wear. I make a car corner flat with sway bars and keep the tires flat on the road. I made brackets for my Honda to mount 2 stock sway bars on the front. Cost was $10-15 per bar. Back end is still under construction/development, but so far, I can't spin it out, and it's pretty much neutral.
I also found a heavier single front bar from an Integra/or Prelude; but it had the right measurements, so I may go to that when I get time to put it on.
To answer your other question....
If you find a heavier bar with the right measurements, that would work on your car.
Example: I use heavier bars (cheap) from taxi's and station wagons when I set up
American sedans.
I know how to measure suspensions and use stock springs, when I do street lowering, that way the ride is better, and the tires don't get eaten.
If you don't mind spending time under cars at a junkyard, I can show you what measurements to take, since the factory *DID* make a bar for your car. -Bob
..............I also don't mind if others choose to spend $100's for parts because they don't know any better..... and then joke about ghetto solutions.........
