I think your crank may have walked. I've yet to find symptoms specific to automatics (e.g. ticking when clutch pedal is to the floor, clutch pedal dropping when making a left turn - symptoms for manuals), but that left turn noise worries me since I didn't see anything hitting on the wheel (although it may have been the inner shield behind the rotor hitting the inside of the rim) and the stalling also is somewhat worrisome.

Here's something else that's relevant:

When he opens the throttle slightly and lets the rpms climb, it will lose cylinders instanteously and the rpms will drop 500-1500 rpms quickly (similar to what happens to a 1g when the fuel relay by the ECU goes and you here the "click" while the rpms drop rapidly). This is why I believe it to be electrical and why I thought he needed to run through the aforementioned parts (ECU, CAS, PT, and coil pack).
