I've heard good sound from the polk momos with the included crossover in an F150. You might want to look into those. They put out exceptional midbass with an external amp.
If you arent amping I would grab some Alpine coaxials.
i agree polk makes good speakers i had them in my ss.alpine type r speakers are nice to i have them in my 91 talon.
