Digital will always be the most accurate and fastest type of instrumentation for any type of information, especially pressures.

When it comes to what I want stuck in in the visible part of my dash though my VDO 3" 0 - 2 Bar guage is what I prefer.

Once I install my HKS digital boost controller I will have both digital accuracy and recording features in addition to my beloved analog guage features.

Making a digital display is not that bad if all you want is a two digit display.

There is a whole class of ICs that can take your A/D converter output and turn it into digital 0-9 numeric display outputs.

The pain in the ass would be tieing this all together on a bread board (designing a circuit board is usually a bit too much for the average home tinkerer though there are kits for doing so).
