How high is the redline? or how high does it go before it rev-limits?

The stock redline before 1989 on NA and turbos is 7000RPM.
series 5's have lighter rotors then the older ones, the NA's went up to 8000RPM, i think the turbos were still 7000 though.
Anybody got a S5 turbo II who can verify this?

As for the rev-limit, I know S5's are someplace upwards of 8500RPM and S4's don't have a rev-limiter. most 1st gens use a distributor ignition, thus no rev limit.

I dunno about 3rd gens.
Then theres the renesis motor from the rx8 - 9000rpm, don't know where the limiter is.

With any of them it's not going to matter unless you've got it ported to make power up high.
