HOLY CRAP!
That was the coolest thing I've ever done. I highly recommend the Ed Bargy Racing school to anyone that wants to learn more about how to ride fast. The class time and knowledge imparted was phenomenal. I'm so glad that I started my track experience in his school. At the end of the day there is a "mock race". The idea is to put students in race situation with the 5 minute board and flagging. My buddy and I "qualified" for the first row of the start. He jumped in front, I followed him and we rode our asses off for four laps. Although I didnt get around I was able to close on him and show him a wheel in the last lap. We lapped two of our classmates in the race to finish P1 and P2. This was just gravy to top an absolutely incredible day.
I had thought that chicken strips (or whatever you like to call them) were just for the rear tire. I figured it would be impossible to run to the edges of the front tire, it's not. The little Michelin man that lives at the outer edges of Pilot Powers is gone on both of our bikes, front and rear.
I hope that I haven't ruined street riding for myself, but I guess if I did, then so be it. What an incredible day!
