Bob Wood, Brady Pack and John Sadler, Safir GT40 Spares Ltd. of Cincinnati. These are the guys who sell replacement parts for the original GT40s and who tried to hold up the Ford Motor Company for $40 million for the rights to the "40" part of the GT40 name (which they've owned since '99), which is why the new Ford exotic sports car will be called the Ford GT instead of the Ford GT40. According to K.C. Crain, writing in Automotive News, Wood said, "We wanted the (new) car to be called the Ford GT40...Ford was unwilling to negotiate and wouldn't make an offer." Really Bob? We're shocked, aren't you? After all, why wouldn't Ford just capitulate to your ridiculous demands? Why wouldn't Ford want to negotiate with a gang of opportunists in Cincinnati? I mean screw American automotive racing history, what's the world coming to when you can't even twist a few bucks out of a company that has money to burn, right? Pathetic.
