The first thing you need to do is some research and find out if they will let you drive at auto-x and drifting events, because you may have to be 18 or have a parent there every time you drive. Don’t even think about practicing drifting on the street. If you do you are just asking to loose your license, then good luck getting insurance for the next few years, or causing an accident.
If you can drive at the events, then looks for something like a 1980’s Mustang. Start going to all the events and learn how to drive the car. Don’t even bother trying to boost the HP of the car, just work on putting a good suspension together.
