i got a guy wanting to trade me his top end with fogger for my top end..my stuff is all new.but he only gets heads, intake and shaft rockers.im trying to see how much cash he wants to give me 2 as we speak but what do u guys think.
his stuff and the work done to it vvvvv
The intake ports are cut into the push rod slot and rewelded to eliminate the push rod slot restriction. The floors are raised to match the hi-port manifold and provide a direct line of sight for the intake charge entering the combustion chamber. The combustion chambers are 60cc. I run a crane 118411 roller cam with 715 in and 625 ex lift with no valve spring trouble. The heads have manley severe duty ss valves, del west titanium super-7 retainers, Crane Gold roller rockers 1.6 intake with offset to clear relocated push-rod slot, 1.5 exhaust-std. pushrod location. The heads also require offset intake lifters (common item-many newer small block heads require them and the track-1's should have them installed without the relocated port to improve push-rod angles anyhow) The intake is an Edelbroc Super-Victor raised intake runner. It has the 4150 carb flange, the runners and mouth are massaged and gasket matched to the heads. There are NOS Fogger nozzles installed in the runners. The heads have been in use by me for 5 yrs. They have been used in the current state to haul my butt to work, cruize the boulevard, Clean house in a few street races and run consistent 10's in a street car. I have them on a 372 sbc and they ran a 10.68 w/o nitrous @ quaker city last fall. Consistent 9.40's with 36 jets in the fogger!! This is in a 1968 camaro with a 10" slick, NOT IN A RACE CAR!! The motor only has 10:1 compression and runs on 94 octane all day long. I used to drive the car everywhere but I am older now with a new truck so the car gets towed. The heads have worked great for me but I want to get into the low 8's and they aren't going to get me there. The heads were refreshed last May with new valve springs, valve job, seals, and the guides etc. all looked good. They are still on the motor but I will remove them and clean them if you are interested. I can include the cam/lifters if you need them also.
I hope I covered everything but if you have any questions-call or pm me with them.
As far as miles on the castings I am not sure but I know that everything was in good condition 60 1/4mi passes ago. The heads were fresh and that is all the miles on them other than 5 or 6 trips to a local cruzing spot.
I don't know how to tell if they are a new or old style casting. If you have something on the heads You need me to look at to tell let me know.
Thanks,
