Indeed I did today....5 and 7 came up. Can't be rings, truck burns no oil and you can smell/see no oil coming out the exhaust.

My uncle brought up a good point, could be a head gasket or cracked head. Debating if I should go yank the head now because I'm bored and restless or wait until daylight and run a leak down test on them first. Either way, it has to come off.
my exp has always been rings, my omni had a bad cylinder and it didnt smoke. My van had a bad cyinder and it didn't smoke, both were rings It's a loss of compression, therefore the oil is just enough to fill the gap and not enough to cause it to smoke. If you had a bad headgasket there would be h2o in you oil. As far as a cracked head, never had one or seen one on an engine. If it is a cracked head, might I suggest some magnum heads and misc amc valve train parts
