Hate to break the news but they had a factory kit for the old 2.2 SOHC 8v 4cyls in the 80's that could pump out 300hp and 300 ft-lbs and you could buy it from the dealer. No doubt they will be able to do so with the 2.4 which can put boost to better use with the extra 8 valves.
The last 16v DOHC engine they had was known as the 2.2 TIII, it had a lotus designed cylinder head and was rated at 227hp stock.
