Did you do this your self or have someone else do it? Gear setup requires that tolerances be precise or you will have noise or a trashed gear set. If these are Richmond gears and the whine is not very loud this is fairly normal for richmonds. If you are not sure that they are setup correctly try Allens Gear Works.
