The speakers you will be buying for aftermarket replacements are probably 4 ohm therefor cutting the amps efficiency to 1/4 of what it was. Rewire the system because your new headunit will put out more power than that bose amp will.
He wasn't buying aftermarket speakers. It was just a deck install.
