Tampa police are investigating an accident that killed a motorcyclist Saturday night.

A motorcycle was traveling eastbound and a car heading westbound turned left in front of the motorcycle at the boat ramp area in front of Ben T. Davis Beach, causing the crash.

The incident shut down all eastbound lanes and one westbound lane of the Courtney Campbell Causeway.

The identity of the victim has not been released. The two people in the car were not injured.

Meanwhile, there was another fatal motorcycle accident Sunday morning.

It happened on I-75 South just south of U.S. 301 in Riverview.

Twenty-six-year-old William Pittman of Riverview died after losing control of his motorcycle and being ejected from it.

The Florida Highway Patrol had to close two inside lanes of I-75 South for several hours.
