also look at torque... a centrifugal S/C wont make anywhere near the torque of a roots blower or twin screw... it will make torque linearly, just like its HP, till you hit the max boost the pulley will allow... usually at high rpm's... a big factor if your motor has low displacement.

a turbo will always make more torque and make it much early in the powerband...
