This project I'm thinking of is a long term project I want to start as soon as I finish college. If it never runs sevens I wouldn't be surprised, but looking at this other car on another forum got me interested. You're right about the short wheelbase/big power thing- the thread I found it in was one with pics of the thing crashing
. I'm interested in it as a gradual buildup- they have bolt-in SBC mounts for the cars, a carbed SBC swap is cake, start simple and build up over time. It's a low 2000 pound car, a mild sbc on a middling shot of nitrous would move the thing pretty well.

look at the guy that used to own the 240 with a SBC in it (Mark I believe), thing ran 9's on the bottle and ET Streets. Nice ride..
That car was an awesome car. I loved seeing that thing run. Half the runs the front was so high in the air off the line, it was a lot of fun to watch. Hauled ass when it wasn't hauling the front up in the air, too. Part of my motivation, finding another light RWD chassis to my liking. I like the 240Z, but they're all rusted out or 10,000 dollars and too nice to chop up.
