What does the lap top need to run as a OS?Will 98 work?

Ok I was going to get a full price quote tonight,But I have no clue at this time what I want/need.The dash controller is out of the question forsure,I heard it was a peice of shit.

I might just buy the ecu,and lap top connector at this time.Thats the main concern since I have the cash for it.

This guy told me I still need the harness for sensors/o2 wideband/ there was somthing else I cant remember at this time.

I have to get with him tomorrow evening for the price quote,and go from there,bad thing Is,Im just going to get a price on the items,it wont be categorized.

So if anyone know what I need,and just throw a round about price on items,I can then compare to the price I get tomorrow,so i know if its a deal or what.
