Don't those shitty places mix the clear coat with the base coat making the car look like ass? Also making waxing futile? What about a wetsand. I'm going to say that for $400 you're going to get a car that looks like $400, that coming from experience.
I wacked a fence, didn't want insurance involved, quote from the place my dealership does collision damage was ~$3000, took it to econo. They didn't even sand or primer the car, left the windows cracked, didn't tape up 50% of the weather stripping and windows, now the paint is peeling in parts and guess what's underneath??? A really shiny factory coat!!! I'm thinking about peeling my car like a banana, it would be a huge improvement.
