Problems with my car...
This question is really geared tward John, and anyone with _alot_ of Honda expierence.
Although anyone with viable, and reasonable answers, please feel free to jump in.
Problems with my car...
The timing belt for one, seems horribly lose since I brought it to some BS 'side of the road' shop on hillsborough ave. The guy told me it was fine, I know better... a half inch of jumpyness isn't good.
Secondly, My injector O rings (on the manifold side) are screwed up causing some serious vacuum leak. The mechanic was suposed to fix this. He didn't. At least he didn't charge me for it.
Exhaust leak on the manifold... aparently my turbo manifold has become warped, perhaps from me taking it on and off so much.... it now leaks fairly bad.
Car bucks and hessitates... this may be due to the vacuum leak. I am not sure. I put the old stock injectors, and it cleared this problem up..... Once I put the RC 310's in again. It started again. *shrug*
Leaky return line... My oil return line leaks a good amount of oil... It's really annoying and I don't know what to do to fix this... the turbo kit is pretty much self made... Im not a mechanic, so... well you can imagine.
I can't seem to get the car to idle well... the head makes serious noises if I move the valve lash to stock cam specs, and the car doesn't seem to run right if I move them to Crower (who made my cam) specs.... Im at a loss.
The check engine light comes on, does not blink if you jump the ECU to trap a code.
When you first start the car, it idle's rough... about 2 mins after you leave it running, the check engine light comes on... then it idles @ ~2K rpm, and seems all happy. and it runs fine (just idles really high).
So basicly Im really depressed about all this. I made this rebuild so the car would last longer being boosted, and hopefully be faster.... Unfortunatly I don't know what to do. Ive been to 3 mechanics now, and the car is with Collin (Race Integration). He says he hears... piston noise. I asked him what that was yesterday, and he said he could hear them... "moving back and fourth" in the chamber... Now I trust his insight on this... he has a 10 second CRX. My only worry is that I don't know him personally, and Ive never heard of piston noise. Also... Wouldn't I be losing compression somehow if they were moving around? (Checked friday - 150 160 160 150). Just wish I knew more about this stuff to be of some help to myself. I should have just rebuilt it back to stock and gone from there. Unfortunatly I had to get elaborate with shit.
Anyhelp would be apreciated.
Thanks TR.
JC
I just hope he can fix my problems.
