how many items are you trying to turn on with your remote wire?

3 or more you should use a relay to supply enough current to fully turn on any device.

Next up grade to one large power wire, split off in rear to each amp... and
dont forget to add another large wire from battery - to ground .... i would also run a heavy groud wire from alternator bolt to ground.
