Well, being you're saying it only started when you tried ghetto-rigging some strobe lights into your deck's remote lead, I'm willing to bet your problem lies there within. First I'd disconnect the strobes, obviously...if you haven't already. Second, I'd swap the deck out, there's a very good chance you overheated, fried, or who knows what something inside your deck. Third, I'd get rid of the eq...most decks and amps nowadays are sophisticated enough to filter and equalize frequencies on their own...atleast enough for the everyday listener. Not to mention the majority of eq's I've seen induce noise. Get a decent deck...one that has the proper number of preouts and a high preamp voltage (4v is good).
