When I had my 600RR I wanted to do the same thing you're looking to do now. Because the pipe is welded and sealed tight, removing the stock baffel is not an option unless you want to go have it cut and rewelded, in which case you might as well buy a slip-on. The point of doing this is to not spend any money, right? LOL
I took a long steel rod with a pointed end, shoved it down the bikes ass until it stopped and went to town with a hammer. Punching multiple holes in the back chamber of the exhaust.
I have a 600RR exhaust laying around if you want it. I'm not going to use it. The guy who's bike I took it off, doesnt want it anymore either. Your welcome to it.
It sounded raspy, and loud. I shortly after went out and bought a Jardine Slip-on.
I definitely might have to take you up on that offer for the RR exhaust. So I don't have to take the existing exhaust off the bike before I go nuts with a steel rod and hammer upthe bikes ass? Is it possible for metal flakes to fall down the pipe and get into my engine?
