Your t-stat/temp gauge needs some updating. A bad t-stat can be tested.
I now monitor the REAL temp of my car with a temp gauge. I got another thermostat housing from the boneyard, with one more "port" than the one I had.
In that port, I put in the proper threaded brass adapter for a mechanical gauge.
Now I can actually tell what the temp is. I don't mind showing this "how-to" to others.-Bob

Another thing, my heater is acting weird, it'll be ice cold until I romp on the car, then it warms up, but when I stop the heat gets cold again, romp on it again and itll be hot for the rest of the time it's being driven. odd?
Anyone have an answer for either question?
