after all the month of crap with making that head work, the turbo decided to go south. Brought it to CMR to get built, the oil seal had a lot of wear on one side, and the bearings had some debris go thru them. He also found a wrong piece in the exhaust side which was causing exhaust to bypass the turbine = wasted power. All is well now, its back on the car.
Awww...that stinks. Some garbage must have gotten into the oil with all the other stuff going on.
As far as a wrong piece on the exhaust side.....what could that have been? The only thing that allows exhaust gas to bypass is the wastegate hole / flapper. Is he saying the flapper was not sealing?
