nissan had valve timing way before the NSX even existed...
honda just marketed more...and lost alot money on the nsx project

also..nissan made twin turbo variable valve lift motors back in the 80's
so do some research next time...

However, when doing some research on the 300ZX, I found out about Nissan's 1985 Mid4 and 1987 Mid4 II. Once I saw that car, I lost any and all respect I ever had for Honda's exterior designers (it was already low for what they did to the Civic and Prelude, and the RSX is downright plain). The NSX looks like it was ripped straight from the Mid4 - the front, the cockpit, the rear end, even the tail light configuration!!!

Honda has great engine technology that is reliable and works. But for cryin' out loud. If I was going to spend 90K on a car, I would at least hope that the designers didn't get their idea from a mid 80s concept test mule. I just hope they can recover a bit of that lost respect with the new NSX
next time you see an nsx...you'll realize that its just reengineered nissan technology...
the pride of honda is just a nissan wannabe..

nissan MID4 was 4 wheel drive..4 wheel steering..330hp twin turbo VVL

Returning with the 1987 MID4-II, at least three prototypes were built, one ivory white (shown in the Tokio Show), one medium metallic red , and another in titanium metallic gray used for track testing. All of them were left hand drive. I don't have many more details, but I suppose that the car had many electronic gadgets. As a detail, the man responsible for the MID4-II project was Takoya Noguchi.

Technical data: longitudinal mid-rear Engine, V6 , 2960c.c. (60Ü), bore+stroke:87+83mm.;24 valves, ECCS injection system with two turbochargers. Compression ratio, 10:1; 330hp. @ 6800rpm ; Torque 39mkg @3200rpm. For the traction: permanent 4WD system with viscous central coupling. The gearbox was a 5 speed manual. The body was a unit frame with fiberglass panels. It had also the HICAS 4 wheel steering and four disk brakes with ABS. Tires measured 225/50 VR 15. ITs dimensions : 416, 178, 120mm.Wheelbase 244mm.Track f/r :147/154mm. Fuel tank 65 litres. Weight: 1400 kilos. Performances: 295 k.p.h., and 0-100 k.p.h ( 0-62 mph) 4.9sec
it must be sooo difficult to copy nissan engineering and market it..right?
please dont try to talk shit without backing it up...

and yea...sr20noshoe is a bit too proud of that motor..

btw..that honda mini is FAST AS FUCK!!! WOW!
so its still FWD? or was it made AWD?
