i've done it twice...once to parallel (Vishnu) and then back.

Couldn't do it w/out removing the manifold, but it's not an entirely hard job, and it looks nice when you're done.

I'm not sure it's about 100% necessary as i've seen a few 10 sec rex's with stock rails, but better safe than sorry I guess.
