Alot of the crap you hear is true. But it's usually because you have idiots behind the wheel. As far as handling, I can personally say that from factory it's not the best. But it's nothing some coilovers and sway bars can't fix. Believe me, it's a hell of a difference.

Only pro for the WRX/STi is the awd factor. Personally I'm not a fan of boxer motors and from what i've seen they're a bit of a PITA to work on. But yes, parts are def. more expensive.

If you're gonna go SRT4 you've got a ton of options. Spend a little cash, and get mopar parts or go aftermarket and save urself some money.

I personally have not had any issues with mine except for stuff that I've done to it (aftermarket). And to be quite frank it's been runnin' like a champ.
