foot in mouth, but it wasn't till now that they developed it. Anyways, yeah BBB, I'm a ricer If yanking the motor and having it rebuilt with forged internals, ported head, full 'race' balanced, and completely fabricating a turbo system from scrap makes me a "ricer" then I guess I am. While we're stereotyping, it must suck to be 80 yrs old and migrate back and forth across the country twice a year. /offtopic

All I am trying to say is who REALLY cares if Toyota, Nissan or whoev enters NASCAR? Do YOU really care? Is it going to effect your livelyhood? What exactly are the specs of these engines? How many CFMs are their carbs allowed to flow? What is the gear ratio of their transmissions? And why Don't bikes belong in this discussion? Because they have two wheels? Because somehow the factory engineers at Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki have figured a way of making 150hp go near the 200mph mark and do it ALL AFTERNOON. They are carbed and they don't use forced unduction. My point is you take ANY vehicle with the HP/Weight ratio that these guys have and gear it right and your set. Granted, making the HP needed to do it is a feat in itself using 20 yr old technology and yes i understand the difficulty of making a lot of horsepower without forced induction. But in a way they are using forced induction. How much extra air are they funneling into the engine by reaching speeds that high. I think its pretty similar to the scramjet or whatever its called, the faster you go the more air you can send to the engine the more power you can make.

Whatev, I've wasted enough time on this topic, in the end NASCAR is still BORING and sees way too much airtime.
