I'm not sure on chevy's but I have manual on mine and all it takes is to pop the clip off the push rod at the pedal. Remove 4 nuts to the firewall, and take off the lines.

My trunk mounted battery is in the right rear area of the trunk. The cable runs through the interior on the pass side between the seat and door sill. The hole is drilled a little left of center of the firewall. I think they also want you to make sure that it is vented too. If your battery has a little vent nipple on it, just put a vacuum line on it and find a place to feed it outside the vehicle.
