there's good and bad to both. As far as reliability goes, my father had a 74 Chevy Duelly 4 dr truck with over 380k miles on it. He sold it off to a concrete company up in Spring Hill a few years ago. Still see the damn thing around all the time. Then I've had a 92 Toyota Corolla with 222k miles and only ever replaced brakes, belts, tires, and a battery on it.

both were ugly, both did what needed to be done, both weren't worth shit on resale.

I'm not really partial either way when it comes to "appliance" type vehicals, but when it comes to sports cars, I always lean to the import side.
