i have a stock(internally) d16y7 in my ek hatch w/ header,intake,stock exhaust piping,y8 trans,11lb flywheel,adjustable fpr,255 fuel pump,and 75 shot dry went 15.07 @91mph with my clutch slipping literally all the way down the track w/ me dipping in and out of the throttle trying to get it to grab so..... in a lighter car and a stronger clutch i would love to see how it would have done. also that was a 2.1 60ft with cheap tires @23 psi.
if i had to say i would go a6 block z6 head (nice combo) a6 i have heard hold nitrous really well. also the y7 and y8 blocks are almost identical y7 has a 9.3:1 comp when y8 has a 9.6:1 comp i believe due to the head so g/l with build just my 2cents if you have anyquestions feel free to pm me i can find just about anything out for you. and as far a compression test if you have a compressor i would just buy the compression kit from discount and do it yourself not to mention later on too..
