since then a lot has changed.
we fought all season with those cars, and finally got them dialed in. our biggest issues, and can be seen in that video:
1. too large a turbo/too laggy
2. large tires, soft sidewalls with not enough tire pressure.
the turbo issue was corrected prior to chicago, allowing matt to get his top16 finish. the tire pressure issues we hadnt researched till recently, when a small tire change made a world of a difference in how manuverable the rear of the car could be.
we're going to be experimenting over the next few weeks with higher rear pressure in the tires, with the ultimate goal being to turn our semi-exotic compound MX's into a more predictable and easier to drive setup. we've noticed that too much rear grip esentially pushes the car toward the infield on a turn (at osw for example). a little more R&D should provide awesome results. we shall see at the FL Drift practice in Jan.
