more than needing to flow, it needs to efficiently cool...
1000cfm is useless if the efficiency range is low....
on the street, the stock tmic is very efficient and flows very well, too......
i had the es-x one, too, and even with tuning it made less than 5whp difference (if that)...
looked great, fit like crap, and caused all kinds of parts to need to be bent, adjusted, dented and cut....
only way i'd go aftermarket hotbox again is with one that is less than 4" thick, and still allows for the splitter skirt...
