Well it is not a Ford but Volvo is owned by Ford so here is the story.
Fastest Volvo ever [/siz]
Boring Volvos? Are you kidding! The S60 R and V70 R will make their debut at the Paris Motor Show in two weeks time.
With 300bhp under the bonnet, the new Rs are capable of accelerating from 0-60mph in 5.7 seconds and bristle with the latest technology.
Top of the list is Haldex all-wheel drive, a new six-speed manual gearbox, Brembo brakes and a computer system that controls suspension settings.
Subtle exterior revisions include a lower front spoiler and front grille, 18-inch alloy wheels, and rear spoiler.
Inside there’s chronograph-inspired instruments with coloured faces, a choice of leather upholstery and brushed aluminium inserts on the dashboard and door panels.
The cars go into production and should be available in spring 2003. Volvo expects to sell 450 S60 R models (pictured) and 350 V70 R models per year in the UK.
Prices and full specification details will be released nearer the launch.
