1. list the largest reason for using fiber optics cable in vehicles today
a. easier to repair
b. faster transfer of data
c. more wireing
d. fiber optics are affected by electro magnetic induction (emi)
2. name a vehicle that uses fiber optics and where they use them.
any clues? resorces?
Fiberoptic cables can transmit data at fractions of the speed needed for a conventional copper wire. Think of an intelegent Sensor system capable of measuring the wind velocity on one side of the car as opposed to the other, and then adjusting the shocks to comphensate for it?
Also, collision detection systems could send data nearly instantly across the vehicle deploying airbag systems with more accuracy.
Also, audio/video ysstems can transmit data with much more accuracy, optic cables can combine 500+ regular signals into a single cable with two binary converters at each end. The result: MORE SENSORS!! MORE LIGHTS!!! Basicly more everything without the need for more wires.

I know the the high end jaguars have Fiber Optic collision detection systems, I beleive they also carry the rear view camera signals as well... need to verify that though.
