Proof??? E's are plenty reliable. The only real difference between the KA24E & DE is head & intake mani design. Blocks are the same. Potential? Noone knows the E's potential yet because noone really gives it the time of day... maybe it's the 80's valve cover? Oh well.. all the better for me... I get them FREE!!! But if you dig around the net, you will find KA24E's making 700+.... Find me a DE making that....
