Rode out last night with my friend Javasti since he hasnt been out in a while. He was curious to see how his car stacked up out there after a tune he got earlier in the day and also to check out the spot. We get down there and although he swore he wouldnt race he started to realize maybe he could dabble a lil. The only drawback is that recently he was involved in a pretty nasty bike crash (girl pulled out...he went over handle bar into windshield and his gf flew over car, landed and skidded 100ft down the road) so his shifting arm is in a cast. He asked me to go ahead and take the helm but was very firm on just some basic rules as hes looking to make the stock clutch last

First match up was against a very very stout Galant VR4, as we are rolling to the starting point i could have sworn i heard a purge but no biggie. So we agree to a 20-25mph roll on.....on 3 honks we are off to a commanding lead when i notice he missed 3rd. Line up again and he asked for a bit higher so we go from a 40 yet again we take a nice jump and hold him off. This time though top end he reeled us in and barely came by. We slowed down again to about 40, like before we got a good jump on the Galant but up top he came by real hard, put a car and shut it down. Good race.

Next up we raced another Sti first, he brake boosted and got a good lead so i had to play a bit of catch up. When i rolled past we both let out. Wasnt a long race. So the other Sti moves out of the way and i end up next to 1bad00ss...but i figured he would run. We start to slow down and he quickly asked for dig which java declined so we agree to a 1st gear roll...hehehe perfect. I honk 3 times and the damn pony got out on me pretty good. I shifted my lil heart out...god damn Stis and their short gears. By the time i got the car into 5th i came around him pretty decently and was out 1/2 to a car then we shut it down.

Java realized his car isnt quite where he wants it to be regardless if im driving or not so hes gonna tweak the current setup a bit more see what he can muster out. The trip back up here was quite uneventfull, crosssing the Bayside i decided to keep it in 6th when a CPD comes by at 80+ out of nowhere. We get into Eastlake/Tarpon and i see these lights comin really fast. Im thinking its just some punk kid in a Mazda 6. We catch a light and the car is no Mazda...its a 2004 Mercedes Benz S class but when the light goes green i noticed that on the fender it says V8 Kompressor....ohhh schnapp!. Sure enough he comes flying by me to reveal his 4 exhaust tips and the rear end with its S55 AMG badging. Sounded pretty healthy so i take the bait and the chase is on.

He realized i wanted to play so he slows down and waits, i bait him by spoolin then letting off except he just took the hit. I roll into it and when by the time i shifted into 5th i came by him pretty hard. Both he and his wife were startled by the Tial as i was rolling past so we both shut down. We line up again, he takes the hit once more and like before i came by him pretty hard then shut it down. What was most shocking to Java and i was that before turning off onto Keystone, they honked and waved....

It was a good night, i had fun...thanks Java, 57trim, 1bad00ss and the few others i saw out there. Havent been out in a while but am planning to very soon again
