No, the point of the article (if you read it) was that it's a co-project between the police and a tuner shop. Nobody is impressed with the numbers that the tuner shop put out, and IMO, looks like they just riced out a Porsche before giving it to the police.
Isn't the Dodge Viper police cruiser faster, on all accounts, than this Porsche anyway? I thought a stock Viper could top-end near 200mph and has way better acceleration.
