welcome to the internet. there's no rule that says say nice or say nothing at all. opinions and constructive criticism can be helpful, everyone loves feedback, and if you dont love some negative feedback, then one should just stop building cars or model airplanes or anything ever again, because it will always exist. and just because you're friendly with someone doesn't mean you have to asskiss everything they do, friends dont let friends fuck up their cars.
i think the powerplant setup is great, granted some of us dont have an asspile of money to dump into a motor, but ill enjoy my 15psi on the stock block for now, im probably not far off. i think KA's between 375-425 are at their peak point, the power is strong, and the powerband isnt skewed yet (after 450 it just gets peaky).
in the end if the owner likes his car, then he won't care what any of us say. i'll say i do like the "theme" since they did all the pukey pinstriping and stuff, but i wouldnt do it. but thas just my opinion. all he has to do is listen and disregard. funny how easy that works.
