O2 sensor is less than that actually IIRC, GReddy Type S' are shit, I have one and my friend has one, it is the reason my car would stall everywhere I went. You cant adjust a stripped housing, and if the housing is stripped that means its too shitty to use now. I've heard plenty of people use the 1G DSM BOV without problems, and I dont have many other options anyways..maybe a Bosch/Porsche recirc setup. Have you even seen the car? You dont know what it does and doesnt need to run again.
The ECU connection is messed up since MAF-T, I need to go back over my connections and double check them, then find the right bolts to bolt my downpipe back up to my turbo. Oil filter relocation will keep the psi up where it should be...my motto is what Toyota is based off entirely: overbuild. The car has no tune whatsoever and saying a wideband isnt needed is like saying tires arent needed...its more integral than any other mod really when you start modding things. Besides, the MAF-T is a horrible tuning device itself...you get 4 tuning points. I'd rather have nearly infinite, thanks. Right. This car is going to be built for a reliable 400rwhp for 7+ years, and I want everything done right. I could do it in stages....but why? Have the car on and off the road, wasting insurance and gas money when I already have a DD.. Being 16, I have farrr more time than most people....5 years over the median age of car mod guys. I'm not worried about time, I have patience.
No offense, but thats the sort of mindset that keeps us unreliable...yes, I could have it done cheaply, but if I really wanted it done cheaply then it never wouldve gone for down-time for very long...just for the power steering issue and whatever I'm having troubles with the EFI.
That being said, I still respect you and everything, just giving my side of the story
As far as the Corolla....Club4AG sucks ass for information on the forums. I cant hardly find even half the shit I could find on either SupraForums or SupraMania! I rely on most of my info from either you or the infamous Jeff Lange
if the housing is stripped for the adjust ment screw, buy the next size up bolt and drill bit and tap, thats less then $20 to fix it, and if its stripped its cause someone idnt know wtf they were doing when they adjusted it, (ie a KID)
2nd, i went by what you said it needed, and from your post, thats less then $100 wort the ish to get it running. even if you buy a rebuilt rack and pinion with lifetime warrenty its only like $200 iirc from pepboys, had to price one for a friend awhile back.
3rd, if the wiring is hacked from the maft YOU installed, you cant blame anyone but yourself.
4th a wideband gauge IS NOT needed. all you need to do to tune it is put it on a dyno that has a wideband and make sure there is a competent tuner present. if you have to tune it daily you have other problems
the problem is your a kid and dont maintain things properly or perform mods properly. sure, you have time to do it now but from reading your posts you realy dont seem to have a clue as to wtf your doing on any of your vehicles. you read the mainstream and regurgitate it. thats all. regardless of all that, you still need to work on ONE car at a time, and do it slowly so that you will make less mistakes. the best way to learn is by doing, but you are too young to set your goals that hig. you need to upgrade the suspension and brakes and work on your driving skills before working on 400+ rwhp
i have 3 vehicles to build, 2 mkii's, 1 turbo, 1 with 3 webers, and a 65 c10. only car im touching or buying parts for right now is the black 84. once it is done, ill work on the blue 85, then ill fix up my truck. right now the only thing done to the truck or 85 is maintence, thats it. concentrate on 1 thing at a time, itll get done faster, and be done nicer.
your problem is your a kid and your eyes are too big. slow down. ive been there as have many others. slow down and think things through longer before doing them. itll save time and money in the end and your car will be nicer because of it.
