FI have been hated on because they are still working bugs outta the system.. its fairly new (even now) for motorcycles.. carbs have been around since.. well.. since bikes first came out.. and FI a mere 5 years at the most.. put that into perspective and think about it.. carbs are cheaper and easier do it yourself.. FI is a bit more pricey and must be taken to a person that has the "tools" or computers to map a system, test it plus the hardware for your FI.. Both FI and Carb have their pro's n Con's..
How many times are you replacing a fuel injection system? Probably never, whereas carbs you have to rebuild over time. So in the long run you are spending where you shouldn't have to. Not to mention you can let a fuel injected bike sit for a year and not do anything but replace the gas and it will run just as it did. FI much better than carburation. Cleaner and more efficient.
