Hey,
I drive a 1991 Honda Prelude.
About a week ago I notice the speedometer started twitching.
It started flickering all over the place...well, now it doesnt work at all.

And about 3 days ago the engine check light kicks in.
Everytime I turn my car off and turn it back on, the light is gone. But I drive for about 10 minutes and it comes back on.

I was wondering...would the speedometer going out in anyway cause the engine check light to come on? I just want to be sure the check light is coming on only because of the speedometer not working.

Any input would be greatly apprietiated.
