Yes, it is noticable. When you have a longer shift throw, there's more room for error, and missing a shift, as opposed to having a tight and short throw. Also, everything costs money. If your not willing to spend the money. Don't bother working on cars. Cam gears IMHO are a waste of money. 300 bucks for 2 sprokets to get 4-6whp. yay. I think you will enjoy your shorter shifter, I love my DC Sports one, and would NEVER go back to stock.
