What do you think they told me when i called them and told them my quaffie wont work with my 26 inch slicks and over 500whp? It is not designed for those power levels let alone 700hp. Just like your car a clutch can only hold so much power. The power is going to break the first weak link(quaiffe). 700hp on any diff will flat out destroy it. 700hp will destroy a whole tranny. I will show you prove after i destroy mine.
I didnt even know that Quaifes had clutches in them... I was always under the impression they would take just about anything you could dish out... I know Collin ran a Quaife forever, and only had to replace it once... He finally switched it out for a spool like 4 races before the car was retired... And last I heard, he was going back to a Quaife in the coupe.... I dont think I could ever run a spool, not only because I like to keep my cars driver friendly on the street, but it also kinda scares me to think that if you break an axle, your car is going to slingshot to one side or the other... I guess to each his own. Every car is different, as is every driver... So I guess just stick to whatever works best...
