rent is 375, car payment is 130, insurance is 175 (because of the loan, has to be full coverage), cell phone bill is usually around 80, then there's gas and food and little stuff here and there. All of this wasn't a problem at the first job I had. I was bankin around 1500-1700 a month there. It was definitely worth waiting a year to have a built sr though. Alot of times I was on the verge of not making rent because I spent too much at enjuku, but when you have to do something, you'd be surprised at what you're capable of.

I haven't totaled everything yet slinkways, but I've put over 3K worth of just parts into my sr. That's not including the machine shop costs or the cost of the motor. Then there's all the tools that I bought because I did everything myself, most expensive part was the micrometer set. After you've spent that kind of money (for example, walking into enjuku with 700 bucks one second and then coming out with the greddy intercooler kit the next, now completely broke) no price can phase you.

There were a lot of times when I didn't want to finish building just because of the price. I'd have, say, 600 extra bucks sittin there and it was either putting it into the SR or spending it on random shit that didn't matter at the time. Once the first part was bought to build the motor, I couldn't stop. Everything HAD to be brand new for me~which was why I think the cost was so high. Anyway, glad I could help you. Anyone can do what I did, its not hard, just takes a little bit of time.
