God I would hope so given the head start the imports have. But to skew that thought the Chevy Cavalier in the NHRA Import series is one of the fastest. But don't worry the Focus crowd is just getting heating up !

you guys got the 4a-ge toyota motor'ed nova sedan or whatever it was (corolla body) and now you have the toyota "pontiac" vibe (powered by 2zz-ge with plastic engine cover and no emblem or markings on the motor itself that say toyota or pontiac/gm).
so technically the cavalier is a domestic, and export lol.
