mustang wins.
people think the 240 has alot of parts. the mustang has 10x that. hard to fathom, really. the 302 has been around for a long time = infinite parts available, not counting parts that swap over from 351s and stuff right?
IMHO, its all about the direction you go with the car. it can look shitty and be fast, look great and be slow, or be both ugly/slow and pretty/fast.
IMHO, as far as foxbody style goes. ill take a coupe ^ it would look very similar to that black one up there. stock wheels from newer cobra, black, silver, or white...very simple. maybe no cowl hood though that one is quite subtle. i hate hatchbacks
as for 240. s13, it would have to be coupe. again, i hate hatchbacks. it would have to have the OE front end from japan with fixed lights. i hate popups. but i'd still prefer the s14 (95-98 style) chassis. coupe only.
and since were doing any motor in the car, i'd opt for this:
-97-98 240sx chassis
-'03 cobra s/c motor, 6 speed
-240 IRS rear end, beefed up diff/half shafts
-it would look bone stock too.
really this argument is beating the dead horse, people are going to do what theyre going to do and *some* people wont ever change their minds about the opposition. honestly i think the 240 IS the japanese mustang, and both have their good points.
at this point, i wont ever do a fox style 'stang, theres no way for me to be original with it. but not like there is much originality left with the 240 either, but at least there's a LITTLE
i would rock an '01 or and '03 cobra if i could.
