Little history on these "jems" the only reason Mercedes can make these is because our tax dollars pay for them. They aren't any more profitable that a hot pile of dog crap. Don't get me wrong, I am all about these. They are cute and practical for city living. But at 17k for a glorified golf cart that I am helping subsidise the cost...hmm off rant.. May be Puffy-D will buy one and every one will want them, they can be the next hottest thing since Paris Hilton.

....but seriously, Mercedes only makes these because of huge government incentives. The cars cost are really about 30k, this is factoring the low production numbers and high engineering costs. I can not cite my info per se on the internet, this is just from speaking with Chrysler/Mercedes employees over on this side of the pond.

..IMO these line up with a Segway, sure cool as hell to have but just not practical for the cost yet.
