It's 15 years in canada(iirc) and I didn't say register it here I said drive it here. Leave it registered in canada.

From a recent person in canada who purchased a skyline.
"In Canada, vehicles over 15 years old are exempt from the RIV program. The RIV program prohibits Skyline importation. Guess which car just recently became 15 years old? Hence, I believe, the sudden influx."

Also look into http://evolutionimports.com/ Someone I know in port orange got a r33. There is a loophole, do more research for your answer.
