Ignition switch went out..
So my girl's Suby died on us. It's the ignition switch, and I tried bypassing the hot wire through a switch, but it keeps frying the switch. I guess the ignition switch is partially grounding out internally, and a new one is 70 dollars, that we just don't have right now. So, after melting two switches I just have two wires and I twist them together when we need to go somewhere. They get warm to the touch, probably about 120F. but the 12GA wire isn't melting or smoking. So before I go out and buy a heavy duty switch (50A@12VDC) Does anyone else have a suggestion?
